In Search of True Leaders

There is a story that is often told jokingly about the creation of the countries of the world by God. When it came to Nigeria, God carefully selected all the best natural resources and put them in it. Someone who was there, and obviously jealous, asked, “Why put so much resources in one country?” The response God gave was, “Wait till you see the kind of people I will put in there.”

But the problem is not with the people but with the leaders. The problem of Nigeria is her leadership. Nigeria needs true leaders – qualitative, quantitative, compassionate, and visionary leadership. The country urgently needs men and women who are driven by vision and not personal ambition, driven by the desire to serve and not to be served, driven by selflessness and not selfishness, driven by compassion and not wickedness, and endowed with knowledge and not mediocrity.

At Leadersmail Magazine – a publication dedicated to inspiring, promoting, and celebrating leadership at all levels – we will continue to advocate for qualitative, compassionate, and visionary leadership for the growth, development, and prosperity of all citizens and the country as a whole.

In this edition, which is the first in its series, we spotlight the “Top Performers in the Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda Administration.” Just as we were preparing to go to press, news broke of the president reshuffling his cabinet to improve efficiency and productivity in response to the concerns of Nigerians over some appointees’ performance in delivering on the president’s agenda. While some lost their roles, others received higher responsibilities, and new faces were brought in. This move has been widely applauded as a positive step forward.

At Leadersmail, we are encouraged to see that our top performers retained their roles, affirming our fair assessment of their contributions as ministers and heads of government agencies.

Also, in this issue, we feature a pictorial spread on the newly commissioned Sahad Hospitals in Abuja, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to meet the healthcare needs of Nigerians, as well as other residents and visitors.

In all, this edition promises to be an insightful read, as we continue to shed light on the leadership qualities that will help guide Nigeria toward a brighter future.
